Also known as Purple Cardinal Flower and a lovely choice for the summer garden, Lobelia vedrariensis has dark violet coloured stately flower spikes that stand above dark basal leaves from mid summer until autumn. 

A great addition to a cottage garden, a mixed border as well as a great choice near ponds and streams. A great cut flower that is also loved by butterflies. Plants can be easily divided to give you more plants.
